I had NO idea!

I was driving my friends 05 Audi A4 1.8T Quattrosport last night and he was driving my truck back from a friends house. We hit an open stretch of highway so we both put it to the floor. From 55 mph to about 90 all I saw were my trucks headlights getting further away, and I started about 1/2 car in front in the Audi. Keep in mind, this quattrosport has a lot of mods as well. He upgraded the turbo and the ECU. It's not designed to be a straigth line racer, and i was pushing 80 through the twisties that my truck can barely hit 40 through, but I didn't think my truck would pull that hard on it.

Re: I had NO idea!

Not sure I follow this story right. If you see the headlights getting further then are you seeing them in your rearview mirror? Or did you mean your truck was winning and you saw the "tail lights" getting further from you?

I am confused too I am not sure who was driving what and who was winning or loosing. Either way it sounds like the Titan held its own and thats good enough for me.

Re: I had NO idea!

Sorry, but I got lost in the middle of the story. Could you tell us who was pulling on who -- who was quickest in acceleration and by how much?

Re: I had NO idea!

Looks like a simple mistype where he put "headlights" instead of taillights guys. Here, I rewrote it for you.

Re: I had NO idea!

If I was racing my own truck, I'll let it win too.
JK, our truck has good power. I raced my cousin Acura CL type S few weeks ago (he has 20" rims) I beat him by two truck length, was a little suprised myself. He told me he was trying hard but just could'nt pull up with me.

My wife put a spankin' on me with her clapped-out '98 Z28....and she had her fata$s mother and two overgrown teenagers in the car with her.....she now refers to my truck as the "Punk Bltch" truck.......but I like a good spankin' every now and again.

Slow crappy Audis.
I think that's how it was meant to read!

I think his title alone explains the confusion.

Re: I had NO idea!

Mr. B, good read. Much better than the original start of the thread. On the 98 Z, is it stock?

I put a SLP air box hat and a way too loud 2 chamber Flowmaster on it when it was new...oh yea, I also put an aftermarket panhard bar on it when she bent the original by high-centering it on a culvert...We bought it new....it's the first year LS-1, black, polished wheels, leather and really good factory sound system...unfortunatly, because it was for the wife, it's got a slush box automatic and I'm ashamed to admit.....T-Tops....it's the T-Tops that make it a chick car more than anything else...anyway, it's all clapped out now and I need to unload it on some punk kid looking for a hotrod....it's pretty darn fast....13.06 at 106mph about 2 yrs. ago....I've also had it up to 150 mph...I'm still amazed that any schmuck with $25k bucks can walk into a dealership and drive away with something so fast and powerful, and even more amazed that that same schmuck would then give it to his wife.
