Need some big opinions here

Okay so Hi this is my first post here as I am new, id liek to start off by saying im a 17 year old 05 Canteen Green luxury editionn, towpackage, 4x4, entertainment system titan owner, how you may ask? I deal with thigns on the internet =] . bought my truck cash when i was 16, heh..

anyeways my questions,
Ive recently decided i want to do some big mod on my truck, either lift, or supercharger, mabye a combo of both, wehat would everyone opinion be? Im only 17, but as of now, I love going fast, but I love the looks and the attention lifts get. What do you think I should go for, a nice 8" lift, a supercharger, or a smaller lift and mabye a turbo charger or something, whats everyones opinions, as well as brands, types, sizes etc etc.

all opinions welcomne thank you

If you got the cabbage go with a 6" lift and some wheels. No one sees a supercharger. BLING.......BLING.....

I'm thinking there must be a reason for mentioning your age over and over but...I'll bite anyhow...
Go for something other than the SC. If you want to go fast, you don't buy a truck. An 8" lift is excessive to say the least.....especially for a "17" yr old who likes to drive fast. A modest 2 or 4" lift will spruce your truck up nicely and maybe add an exhaust and intake for the kid-like VROOM VROOM! Enjoy and be safe.

Re: Need some big opinions here

I guess thats true, the whole "ytou dont buyt a truck to go fast" but I still enjoy pulling up to those rice rockets and putting em in the dust without even having any modifications done to the truck, imagine how many of em i could get with a nice charger =P.

The reason I point out my age is because, as a lot of you know most things people choose, especially teenagers like myself are impacted by their peers, a lot of my friends say dont lift it, cause thats the style of the "909ers" (people from riverside and such, which are kids not too appreciated here for wrecking our beaches, anyways lifting my truck would almost be social suicide even though I love the look of it, what do you think?

You would be considered a bro in the IE. Don't lift. Just but some nice tires and rims and probably do some exhaust with the banks or magnaflow. I got my truck when I was 17 and going fast in an expensive truck is not the way to start life. Just enjoy what you have and remember to save that money for a cheaper s/c

Re: Need some big opinions here

I'd say go with a middle of the road lift. I'd recommend maybe 3 to 4 inches of lift, some nice wheels with some nitto terra grapplers. Then go ahead with a nice CAI and exhaust to give it a little more growl / punch. You said its a 4x4, too bad, cuz the raised spindles are SWEET (comin my way once the $$ is in place)

Re: Need some big opinions here

The SC kit for this truck is way too expensive. I would not buy it since it is not worth the money. For the price of the kit you could find buy yourself another car that could be used for speed such as a modified mid or early 90's mustang, trans am, camaro, or even a Jap sport bike.

Re: Need some big opinions here

I would say, since your 17, keep the truck stock, stay in school, and learn how to type and spell, save your money and go to college, get a high paying job, and buy a Ferrari.

Re: Need some big opinions here

If I had the disposable cash, I'd get the supercharger. The supercharger is not only good for racing, it will help with towing (if you do any), and will definitely help off road. Will definitely make your truck more unique than lifting it, IMO. Need exhaust and probably a CAI too, get the Banks if you want the loudest, or something like the Gibson or flowmaster kit if you want a more mellow tone (my Gibson sounds great!)

Lifts are nice looking, but there are a lot of lifted trucks out there. You can still get the bling effect with some nice rims, and we can fit 33's under a stock 4x4.

Re: Need some big opinions here

Do what YOU want, not what you think others will like. Remember, you're only 17 and you certainly don't want to start getting yourself into debt already. Use your head, don't spend your college money. You'll have PLENTY if years to owe and pay bills! Start out small....exhaust, wheels...etc.

Re: Need some big opinions here

A CRF450 in the bed might give you more enjoyment than a lift or a supercharger.

Don't spend your money on the truck. Waste it on women and alcohol.
