King Cab Rear Seat Problem

Hey guys-

I noticed today that the passenger side rear seat in my KC was not "locked" into the upright position. There is a loop you pull to release the latch and allows the seat to move forward and lay flat. However, when you return the seat to the upright position it seems like it does not lock into place. I was able to get them both locked after pushing the cushion in front of the latch until it finally locked into place. Does anyone else have this issue with their seats? It seems like you should be able to just return the seat back to the upright position and it should automatically lock. Without playing around with it. The owners manual does not say anything about this.

Re: King Cab Rear Seat Problem

Those little fabric loops that you pull have always seemed a bit weird to me. It's not like they click to let you know they have disengaged or reattached. It's kind of mystical how they work. My old Toyota had a similar setup for folding down the rear seats so I was somewhat used to them when I got the Titan... I too am in the 'slam it hard' camp.... it seems to work.
