when using aux input, sound only on driverside

When I use the aux input with my Sirius sportster, only sound comes from the driverside speakers. I tested it with my laptop too and the same thing. I'm using a radioshack stereo cord with 1/8" plugs. What's the deal?

Try using another mini jack plug. Just sounds like the contacts aren't touching for your right channel. Wiggle it and make sure it's fully engaged. If that doesn't help, then you might have wire disconnected. It's easy to pull off the bezel and check.

Re: when using aux input, sound only on driverside

1 - make sure it is pushed in all the way on both the unit and the dash
2 - wiggle the cord to see if there is static, if so, the wire is broken inside the insulation...time for a new cable
3 - see if your plug looks like this:

If it only has 1 black ring or more than 2, it is not a stereo plug

You activated headset mode for the rear of the Titan. Try pressing the headphone icon on the dash. Its the 3rd button that's rectangular. You should soon see that the icon on the screen will clear up and sound coming from all speakers

You probably got a mono cable like bbomar said. Make sure you get the stereo cable.
