Re: Drifting

I may sound stupid, but has anyone figured out how to drift in a Titan without an E-Brake?

lol... u mean on blacktop?... yeah that would be pretty stupid... on gravel it's not too hard... just go manual shift mode... and stomp on the gas... there's a lil' more to it than that but yeah.

You could use the power over technique. You'd need an LSD though. Otherwise you'd only be able to drift in one direction. Not to mention that the weight balance on our truck are way to far off to drift well.

Re: Drifting

They were drifting Titans back in 2004:

Clicky

A video of this exists also, it's pretty wild. Can't find it right now, though.

Re: Drifting

Found it:

Quote:
Round two saw fifty become twenty, and the final stage, twenty become six, who would go on to test their commitment and skill over one last run - in a 305bhp Nissan Titan double-cab pick-up

Titan Sideways Video

OK, so it's not exactly drifting, still pretty cool...

Re: Drifting

Am I the only one who thinks it's stupid to actually risk damaging your truck and maybe getting hurt?

Re: Drifting

the only way this would even be halfway safe would be to upgrade all the suspension components and definatly lower the truck 5-7" all the way around to lower the center of gravity then i bet it could powerslide thru those corners nicely..

Re: Drifting

Why not just ride a Sea Doo on the lake? Same fun with not much danger.
