I have a Beltronics Vector 995 and it is great but I'm considering getting a permanant mounted one with remote sensors. The Whistler Fusion looks like it will install in the center console to the left of the AC controls in that round cutout with the blank in it. Must be for a control not used on my bottom of the barrel XE. Any input on theese detectors with remote sensors????????????
The remote mount detectors haven't fared as well as the one piece units for some reason. You can't go wrong with a Passport 8500. It performs well in all areas and comes out on top of about all the tests.

I'm running the Whistler Pro Radar/Laser Detector - PRO58, and I just use the dash mount pad. After 6 months of using it, I'm very happy with it. The only thing I didn't like was the chrome buttons glared badly on the inside of the windshield, so I covered them with black fingernail polish and that worked well.

I have the V1 w/ remote like baseball and the missus has a V1 too we like them so much. There's nothing like having your own personal AWAC. This weekend I'm hooking my V1 into the console power so I don't have the cord stretching from power outlet to roof.

We have a crappy cobra. About a week and a half with this second titan, we took a trip to Port Aransas. The wife was driving and had never had a ticket until a State Trooper nabbed us between San Antonio and Corpus. Needless to say that pice of sh#t will never be used again.

I've always been happy with whistler products.. my 1760, 1790, and now 1785SE are all EXCELLENT at detecting cops. In fact they've even converted a few non-believers in radar detectors... and factor in the price, there's little competition.
