hello guys, i'm due this august. any recommendations on what auto insurance to go through and what are you paying? i've checked on @insurancepaylite.com and i was given quotes from different insurance company. the cost was ok, but i want to know if there are any more out there who could give out something more affordable. hope u guys gonna help me.. thank you so much.
i've had esurance for 2 years now and they've been cheap, affordable and the customer service has been FAST and outstanding!!
wife got nailed by a drunk driver and totalled her 03 Toyota Tacoma TRD. they cut us a check for more than what the blue book value was in 2 days!!!!! 2 friggin' days!!!! we paid off what was left on the truck and we had $6k left to play with!! FAST service!!! plus you can select what you want for coverage over the computer, then once you've selected your coverage and paid the first initial payment, you then just print up your Insurance cards and voila, you're done!!!
I've got GEICO and pay less than $281 every 6 months for my Titan. For both my wife's Toyota Highlander and my Titan, I've paying just a bit over $553 every 6 months for coverage. I had to carry higher liability and uninsured motorist coverage due to her SUV being a lease.

GEICO was and still is the cheapest of any of the other Big insurance companies, including AllState, StateFarm, and Progressive. The next cheapest was actually AAA, which came in around $625 every 6 months. I wanted StateFarm, but they were over $800 every 6 months.

That is not true for everyone. I got pissed at Geico with the crap they pulled on me when I had to insure an extra car for a while and the way they handled it. Anyway, it made me look for another company and everyone from Amica to Allstate, to Progressive were 100-300 cheaper per year and I was paying $500/6mo at the time (I have maxed coverages across the board).
All things being equal I would always recommend Amica, there is a reason they have been ranked #1 the past 6 years running.

Top 10 Ways You Know You're a Hopeless Procrastinator:
Wife and I are both in our 30's with clean driving records(Amazing how many tickets an attorney can keep off your record!) and have 2 fairly new vehicles fully insured with the full-meal-deal plan through State Farm. Granted, we've been with them for about 11-12 years now.
$396 per 6 months total for both vehicles.
They've taken REALLY good care of us every time we've had an accident or theft. No hassle and no questions... and the couple times we've looked for lower rates, noone could touch them for us.
We pay just over 320 per year for the Titan through State Farm. We have all of our insurance through them, and they cut us a pretty good deal. In fact, I haven't seen anyones rates as low as ours. I think alot of State Farms insurance is jacked up because of individual agents. If anyone is interested, I can get you the name of our agent, he's a great guy, straightforward, and will cut ya a great deal as compared to any other agent we have tried.

I'm about to switch I think. I'm with state farm and love my agent but I'm paying about $800 every 6 months. Granted I'm single and live in a large city, but I don't have any tickets on my record.

I love that I can do everything over the internet-no paper crap to worry about.
Had GEICO since 1988 and they were ripping me off. No tix, no claims, my credit score is high, but they had me paying over 1200 for two cars every six months. Switched to esurance, it went down to less than 700, and that was with the same coverage, minus road side assistance.

I pay approx 800/6mo with Liberty Mutual, and thats with pretty cheapo coverage (25/50, 1000 deductibles) Im 24 and single.
I started shopping too and found a deal with AllState, 100/300 and 500 deductibles, plus GAP cause im financed. with added renter's insurance (so i get the multiple policy discount) Im paying about the same but with far better coverage and a good agent who actually has an office in my town, not a website.
I would never use Progressive. When the owner of the company equates me as a member of the U.S. Army with the Nazi SS....Let's just say I refuse to reward him for that kind of behavior......

I was with progressive for a while and found out that once they put you into any kind of high risk category (like driving a sports car) you never get out.
I have the 100/300/100 coverage with State Farm but I have low deductibles. $100 comprehensive and $250 collision I think.

Too bad your not military. I have USAA which I pay $623 for 6 months with full coverage and $500 deductible and I am only 23. The problem is that either you have to be in the military or have someone in your family that has had USAA.
