Would I need a alignment kit.

I have read post where people have installed leveling kits and needed to buy some kind of caster camber "maybe thats right" kit.Does this mean that a local alignment shop could not align my truck if I had a 06 and would have to take it to a dealer just to get it aligned.Sounds like a alot of trouble for a leveling kit even though I do like the way they look.

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

You don't need any kit. Just go to your dealer or an alignment place and they'll align it for you.

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

I saw a topic on CT were some said the 06 was different than the previous models and that in some cases you might need some kit to align because the 06s do not come with it on the truck.Never heard of this?

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

In 06 Nissan did not install the suspension with alignment cam bolts so you will need to purchase some of those in order to align the truck. I think their only like 12 bux at a dealership.

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

Any idea why in the hell they would do that.So now instead of just going to your local alignment shop you would have to go to the dealer for alignment or for the bolts.Thats great.

I understand that but how many people will be pissed off when they take their truck to get aligned and and then their told we cant do it because Nissan didnt include the bolts they knew you would need to get the truck aligned. Not a good idea in my opinion.

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

I have an '06 and recently installed the PRG 2.5" lift kit. After doing so, I took it to a National Tire and Battery store for alignment. They did so very quickly, bringing it back into acceptable parameters...and no one mentioned any issue with missing bolts. From what I could tell, it was exactly the same procedure that they used on my '05 when I had the PRG lift kit installed on it.

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

I just had my truck aligned yesterday at 10330mi because it was wandering slightly to the right @75miles hour. My alignment guy said he was able to correct the problem {slight adjustment} but said if I need more adjustment than I will have to get the kit. He said Nissans design on this truck has little adjustment with out installing a kit. Why they did this is beyond me. How much could it cost them to make it like most all other trucks.????

Re: Would I need a alignment kit.

I wonder if we take the titan for the Inwarranty alingment they will install the kit as part of the warranty... In the CT furom prerunnergreg explain that all we need is "some new longer screws... " = kit ...

This starting to become an issue for all of us 2006 owners maybe we can complaint to Nissan Headquarters and get the kit install for free... ** any ideas or comments on what to do or if this would work.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I heard somewhere that Nissan stopped installing cam bolts mid production run for the 06's.

One word of advice..... Install the cam bolts at the same time you are installing the leveling kit. They are a pain in the @$$ to install afterwards. You will have to tear the suspension apart again.

Casey
