long tube headers and waranty

well i want to get the long tube headers but dont want to loose my extended waranty on the engine.i know using the jba shorties lets you keep your waranty because you have to reinstall the factory cats.now if i were to get teh long tube headers from eithe powerflow or stealin and welded the factory cats to the headers and retained the o2 sensors instead of using emulators would it void the waranty on the engine?i know i will most likely loose the waranty on the cats and the manifolds for sure but that isnt a problem.i just dont want to loose the waranty on the engine i dont even want to know what a new motor in a crate would cost.what do you guys think of teh idea?
