Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

Here is a pic of my bed cover. I was able to keep all but the very front of my Trac system including the bed divider.

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

Price was around $700 and I did the install myself in about 2 hours. Anyone with can install it without too much trouble. Pace Edwards even makes one that is powered with remote control. I could not afford that one. There is a lock on it so you can secure the back with the tail gate locked.

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

I got it local from a friend that has a shop. You can do a seach and find them. I found that the prices were all over the board, so check out several vendors for the best price.

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

Can you post a picture of it open? I'ld like to see how it clears the bed divider.

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

Here you go....
I had to move the trac down where the top hole lined up with the lower bolt hole and removed the spacer bar that sits on top of the bed divider.

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

Looks good, I am also considering that same cover. How much room is between the canister and front wall? I have a drop in liner and would like to know if I would have to modify it to fit.

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

The install manual says if the corners are rounded at the front, you might have to trim them. It will sit up next to the front of the bed, but it can be moved forward some.

It looks like you fliped the track upside down and rebolted it to the bed. Do all the holes line up?

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

Is this cover load bearing? How much weight can safely be put on top of it?

Re: Pic of new Pace Edwards "Jackrabbit"

I don't think the top is designed to walk on, but they are interlocking aluminum channels. As for the Trac channels, I did flip them and did not drill any holes for it. There are a couple of bolts that are left out in the flip, but it is still plenty strong for anything I will use it for.
