Question About 06 LE w/o Big Tow Mirrors

Okay, I remember reading somewhere that for 06 on a Titan LE you could get the non big tow mirrors that would have LED turn signal indicator and auto dimming at night built-in. So I go to the dealer parts department to order said mirrors so I can get rid of my big tow mirrors (so my truck will fit in garage) and they look at me like I am retarded, so I go see salesman who tells me that there are not turn signal LEDs in 06 LE Titan. Can anyone here confirm for me either way? Also, for anyone who has done the mirror swap, is it possible to by the switch to also make the mirrors power fold? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

I believed the 06 LE have the LED mirrors. At least they have them on the Armada LE.

06 KC LE here - no options other than floor mats and it has LEDs in the mirrors and they power fold.

So if I understand this correctly, it should be just plug and play once I get the mirrors then? I have an 06 LE with the power/heated big tow mirrors already. Anyone know of a good/reliable dealer to purchase these from?

I'd say yes, they should be plug and play. Only thing I'm not sure about is how the folding works from the inside. On my LE, since I DO have the big tow, I have no controls which would accomplish this folding function.

If your truck doesnt have the folding switch on the mirror controller then you cant get the power folding mirrors. An LE with power folding mirrors have a differnt wire harness then the LE with tow mirrors. The Titans have 4 differnt mirrors, non power, power w/heated, power w/heated and mem and power w/heated/mem/power folding. The big tow only come in 2 types, power w/ heat and power w/heat and mem and thats it. The tows and 2 diffent type of connector for se and le.

If you want the regular mirrors see if you can find someone on here that has the them and wants to swap for the tow mirrors. Just make sure they have a compatible trim package. If the harness is different on the 05 LEs because of the power fold, I would assume you would need to find someone with an 04 or 05 LE. Not sure though.

The 2006 Titan LE w/out the big tow package has the following:

POWER FOLDING MIRROR
LED TURN SIGNAL ARROWS
& AUTO DIMMING (BOTH SIDE MIRRORS).

When I bought mine this was a huge deal for me otherwise I'd be manually folding both mirrors in each time I'd pull in my garage. The dealer here in COS only had a handful w/out the big tows on them (or they had a bench seat and I was adimat about the center console). Gotta love people how sell/work at dealer ships and they don't know their products. I knew 10x more about the Titan than my sales person.

the led folding mirrors will not work on a truck that did not have them to start...we have uprgraded some of the QX56's with tow mirrors and removed the led folding mirrors..the harness is different and will not power the led and folding motor...will look cool jus not function

So the LED part will not function then? What about the auto-dim feature? If niether the power fold or auto-dim will function, I probably won't bother with it. I'm really looking for the auto-dim feature.

While it might not be plug and play I'm sure you can get it to work if you take the time to run some extra wires.
