Not sure where to post this question but I don't think my power plugs (12v) inside the truck are putting out the right voltage. I don't have a voltage tester, it's a guess because my phone power cord doesn't seem to work in the truck but works in all my other vehicles (2 other cars and my boat).
Has anyone had this issue? and if so, did your dealer fix it? I'm still under warranty so it's not a problem taking it but just want to have an idea to tell the dealer where to look. I suspect it's something to do with the tow harness adapter that the dealer installed. It seems this electrical issue happened soon after the harness was installed. I threw out another power cord because I thought it was bad, bought another one but never had a chance to use it in the truck until recently and having the same problem - can't charge my phone with the power cord using any of the three plugs in the truck.

Have you checked to see if there is any power coming from the plugs? Have anything else to plug in? Or you could just wet your finger and stick it in...kidding, don't.

There's power at each outlet because there is a light on the power cord and it is lit but it just won't charge the phone. Very Weird.

That is wierd, I'm no expert but it would seem anything connected to the system getting power should get full power. Might be worth picking up a cheap volt meter to see if you can diagnose it yourself. Does the light stay lit constantly meaning its not the power is coming off and on due to a loose wire?

TTUGrad95 - You're right, I may have to get a cheap volt meter to see what kind of voltage it's putting out at these outlets. The light on the power cord is on constantly, no flickering, I have tried it when the engine is off, when the engine is on at all three outlets and the power cord won't charge the phone. But when I plug the power cord in the other cars and in the boat, it works fine.

Well there is a fault in your testing somewhere. One of the outlets on the dash is only hot with the truck on. If you plug into that one and leave the phone in the truck overnight to charge, no it will not charge.

Thanks MJW - Actually, I tried to charge the phone while driving but it won't charge, none of the ports would charge while driving (my wife was doing the switching). All the ports have power when driving or when the engine is on but won't charge the phone with the phone's OEM power cord. I tried it when the engine was off but ignition on but it still won't charge. I thought when the engine is off, there's no power to any of the outlets. I have to check again to see if there's power to any of the outlets when the engine is off and ignition is off.

The one front port on the driver's side is hot constantly. Have you tried plugging in anything else such as radar detector or other device to see if it work?
The 12v pump works in all the outlets. I was thinking that the power cord is more sensitive to voltage drop than the other equipment. I forgot about the outlet in the back. Will check that later today.
