Re: Titan vs. IS350

Don't take the challenge, the IS350 are very fast... Not to say that our Titan's aren't. But please don't take him up on that challenge, or you'll hear about it for awhile.

Re: Titan vs. IS350

not only power to weight ratio, but also the faster you get the less aerodynamic the Titan becomes and the cars gain....He will smoke you!

Re: Titan vs. IS350

I think you underestimate that little car(i know i did until i saw he specs) That little Lexus will do a low 14s 1/4 mile, about 14.1-14.2. IT runs close times with my M. But i think you should challenge him to a rally then a tow off if you wanna win. lol

Re: Titan vs. IS350

Challenge him to 2 races. One unloaded, another with each of you pulling a 4,000 lb boat.

Re: Titan vs. IS350

This must be a trick question because no sane person would race a a stock Titan (no boost) with an IS350. On the street, that thing will eat the Titan alive. If it was the IS250 with the manual, then may be, if you have a driver that doesn't know how to shift.

May be you can race it in the mud or on dirt!!!

Re: Titan vs. IS350

You'd get smacked by that Lexus in a regular dragrace. Just be sure to race for a mile down a bumpy dirt road afterwords. Or the towing contests listed prior to this post.

Re: Titan vs. IS350

I wouldn't do it trust me the wife got that same car. She took my titan about 1 second into the start and steadily pulled away. There are some people with a stock 350 with an intake/exhaust and have ran 13.60's at the track so there is no way you can keep up with it. Just wait unitl the is500 or whatever its suppose to be called to come out next year and race that. It's suppose to be the BMW M3 killer. If your gonna go down go down to the fastest of all lexus so you won't feel so bad.

Re: Titan vs. IS350

Sorry to hijack the thread but an IS500 is coming out???

That would be awesome. And only if they would put a real manual transmission in it, instead of the cheesy tiptronic style transmission, then it will be a real killer. BMW does it right by offering a real manual in almost all of their vehicles.

Re: Titan vs. IS350

The new IS350 will kill the TITAN...maybe on a roll from 35 or 40..you stick with him until the limiter...which I don't recommend....but if it were a IS250 w/AWD...you'll hand that overpriced Toyota's a$$ back to him.

Re: Titan vs. IS350

Yeah, I got on this thread a little late, but....

He has no room to talk **** about your truck, period. He's faster, it's true, 0-60, 0-100, 0-150, whatever, on a street course, auto-x, or drag race, the IS350 is an awesome machine. But it's a car, and that's what it's for.

Barter out the towing contest, tug of war contest, or off-road course, all in that order, one each time that he mentions how much his car rules.

If I had the money, I'd have my Titan and an IS350 (with the ZX2 on a trailer). They're two different vehicles... this isn't even apples and oranges, it's a kiwi and a ****ing watermelon.
