Scratch On Chrome Part Of Front Bumper

Does anyone have any suggestions on getting scratches out of the chrome part of the front bumper? The scratch isn't to noticeable unless your really looking for it but I know it's there.

Not sure if there's a way to get it out. Only thing I can think off is to shine it up real good so it's harder to see.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I tried to do. Was hoping there might be some type of magic polish that would do the trick....

Re: Scratch On Chrome Part Of Front Bumper

Just the chrome part of the bumper is actually the whole bumper.
A while back I noticed that some idiot put a dent in my front bumper. I removed the bumper (Very easy) and brought it to a body shop. They sent it out for rechroming. It only cost around $200.00.

Thanks Ted,
I may go your route but right now I'm doing my best to try and live with that minor scratch. It's not to bad but it ticks me off everytime I see it. Guess I can call it a character mark....

Re: Scratch On Chrome Part Of Front Bumper

I'm tired of hearing "its a truck" to explain away scratches and dents. Its a vehicle that costs from $20k - $45k that most people use for daily commuting. It is also something that many of us put more money and effort into customizing than most put into their cars.

Yeah I feel the same way, people who buy a truck to think it's a truck usually don't take time to come onto these forums to find out all they can about their truck. The majority of them would not even do any kind of mods. To me "It's a truck" BUT it's my truck.

Hey ttugrad95,
I'm with you also, I was trying not to sound to whiny about my little scratch on my truck. Even though I may use my truck as a truck, I still like to keep the scratches to a minimum.
