Titan beats Hummer H1 Alpha in testing..

Didn't see it posted here yet, but if you get a chance check out the latest trucktrend magazine.
They took a No Fear Titan, Hummer H1 Alpha (the duramax), Xterra, and FJ cruiser out for an off road test.
They picked the Titan as the winner

. Mainly due to cost, driveability, the fact that they broke the Hummer and it couldn't finish, and that it came in just behind the H1 in several area's and ahead in others.
Be interesting to see a comparison test between the Titan and new GM trucks (which they have a decent article on in same issue). I'm sure the GM will win it's truck of the year contest when they do it next, and the Titan probably won't even be in it (not significant enough changes for their TOY testing)
Regardless, good to see the titan getting some good publicity and credit!

That's surprising. I thought the H1 was the ultimate off road truck.

I guess it can't do too much offroading if it's broken.

sheesh, there goes my belief that a hummer was the only thing tougher than a Titan LOL

H1's are actually quite cumbersome off-road. They are HUGE and Heavy..

Here's your tuffest "TRUCK" for getting a shipment thru SH*T Creek..

Course, who wants to run that huge rig..
