New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

hello everyone, just got a good look at the new chevy and gm trucks on the pickup trucks.com site. not so sure if i like the new silverado from the outside just yet. however the gm version does look better to me. they also listed all the engine choices, they have two version of the 4.8, two version of the 5.3, the 6.0 and a 6.2 now. check it out and let us know what you think

IMHO the exterior looks worse than the current offering, but big improvement on the interior. And finally no torsion bar suspension up front.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

I don't see much resemblance to the Titan. The fenders are completely different, and in a bad way. The body lines aren't similar either. The Dodge Dakota is the closest thing to a Titan copy, although it looks horrible.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

The rear window looks like my KC on my Titan. I think the side panels on the bed look like the titan with the flare as well.

I still don't like it, but much better over the current GM/Chevy.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

I think it looks pretty cool. I find that most cars and trucks look better to me in person than in photo's, so I'm thinking I'll like the new Chevy styling. The only thing I can say I completely dislike is the stacked headlights.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

I like the looks of the GMC better than the Chev. I wonder if they're shipping most of those with the 3.42 axle to get that sort of mileage. The new interior is my new favorite truck interior. They'll sell millions of 'em.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

I like the new design but its very similar to the Titan. What can you say, you take the best of designs from a variety of places and you put out a product as your own. No such thing as originallity in car design. Everything is a copied aspect somewhere.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

It seems to me that all the "improved" or "innovative" point were taken from Nissan. The wide opening KC doors, the double glove box, boxed frame, tailgate assist, power rear window, utilitrac bed rails....etc. What gets me is.....unless you opt for the huge gas gussling Denali engine, all their other motors have less torque than the Titan. Oh, and did I mention these are some really ugly faced trucks? Geez, that's bad. They needed to copy their own Tahoes face IMHO. I prefer the single headlamp to the double.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

the new styling is OK but I'll probably like it more once I see one in person. They almost look like Fords new BOX on wheels a little bit squared off but a little more subtile than Ford did. I will say I like the interior shots I've seen so far. One thing I love about the Titan is the console shifter me personally I don't like the column shifter. GM is betting the farm on this release! LoL

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

PGARTHW8. EVERYTHING YOU SAID IS 100% TRUE. TOO boxy, TOO squared. The floor shifter is much more sporty also. I guess GM didn't want to emulate F and Nissan in that area. And YES GM did bet the farm on this 900 platform series. To the tune of $5 BILLION. With gas at $3+ I would not want any of that bet.

Re: New Gm Trucks At Pickup Trucks.com

i guess this sets the stage for an all new pickup truck shootout by the mags. with the new chevy and gm,the new trundra, '07 titan with a little more hp and torque, the hemi boys, and last but not least the f-150 guys. cant wait to see how the titan will fare off this time around. that new silverado will have to grow on me because at the moment its not doing a thing for me as for looks.
