Maybe it's cause I'm 6'5" and sit rather high in my seat, or maybe it's the raked roofline and curvature to the front door windows, but I find the sun visors seriously lacking when used on the side windows. They're too low. My morning commute is a straight south drive, meaning the sun is blasting right in my driver's side window.
Does anybody know of any effective ways to modify the visor so it covers the top of the side windows? I was thinking of maybe riveting a small flap to the slide-out portion or something...

I'm sure if you added a set of window vent visors that would take care of that gap. Get the black plastic in channel ones. vent visors

i find them to be too fragile, like they always wobble and move around. it just feels.. cheap to the point i dont even want to use it
i find that they look/feel cheap too. i've never thought about being embarassed if a passenger decides to use theirs, but i'm pretty sure that i'd prefer that they not. they look like they spent all of 50 cents making those things.
Have some in-channel visors on the way. Will report on my results.
:sigh: yet another product not designed for the taller-than-average... I don't have a problem if I duck either, but that gives me a stiff neck.

I have the same problem but, it's because of the opposite reason-I'm only 5'5" and sometimes it seems like they don't come down far enough. I am considering the channel visors but, I'm not sure they will help much.
Tint them thar' windows son!! I made mine the same as the rears...looks real sweeeeeeet, and I havn't been stopped yet..btw...got the inchannel vent visors also

I had the same problem, then tinted the windows and throw on a pair of shades and the problem was solved, I just personally don't like the way the window vents look.

The in-channel visors are helping so far... I should get some monster Ray-Bans that wrap around the side of my head too.
