Found this on ebay seems decent and pretty cheap.

Re: Decent Front reciever winch mount

Seems kinda a cool, but I wonder why the Ford hitch bidding starts at $49.99 and the Titan's hitch start at $129.99? The Nissan one looks a little more heavy duty but not doubly so.

Ford

Your not suppost to pull in reverse. Someone want to explain why you need a front hitch!

For your removable hitch-mounted winch. Then you can use it on either side.

I was gonna ask him the same thing until I saw that The auction says the ford one is a used Warn reciever not a handmade one. You may be able to pick those up cheap. Also it is easier and cheaper for a factory to make 1million of them versus someone making 10-20. Plus noone else is making them so he can charge a little more but that is a very reasonable price. try pricing out having someone else do one for you from scratch that'll cost more. check out this one cost $250 to have it made. so $130 is very reasonable and it is gonna cost some money to ship so he's not makeing anything on that.

some updates...

From his auction for the Warn one:
"This is a great hitch to mount winches, skid shield, license plate holder, bike rack, spare tire mount, carry rack, step, or just manuever that hard to park trailer." moving a rolling trailer isn't the same as pulling a stuck truck or a tree stump
IMO it should be a problem in reverse

I wasn't really complaining about the $130 price tag(although that's just the starting bid), more about the price discrepancy really. Eh, I am cheap that way I guess.

yeah I've noticed it also that accessories for the titan are a bit priceier than ones Ford Chevy or Dodge. If they were both custom made ones I'd feel the same way. try looking for amp research powersteps titan ones are about $200 more than most of the other for example.

Re: Decent Front reciever winch mount

I bought it on E-Bay for $130. I will let you know how install goes. This one sits higher for my winch.

Not that I would anyhow but....who says you can't pull in reverse? You can't tow anything substantial any distances in reverse because well....why would you. I just don't of any reason you couldn't. Can't hurt anything. Reverse is a VERY low gear anyhow. Just curious.

I'd say pulling a rolling mass in reverse is no problem it is pulling something that is stuck that will strain the gears which are designed to be strongest pulling forwards so leave the stumps and stuck vehicles to forwards pulling or winching.
