All,
I'm looking to get some new street tires ...my heavy (49.7lb) Falken 305/50/20's are pretty worn down after 33,000 hard miles. I'm looking at the Kuhmo ECSTA SXT & the General Grabber UHP both are 285/50/20 and a lot lighter (41lb) also 1.4'' inches under stock and .6'' shorter than what I have now(31.2'') which should improve my gear ratio from an acceleration standpoint and probably tweak the speedo a little, but they only have a 2470lb or 112V Load rating. Would you guys be worried about a 2470lb or 112V Load rating? The stock 265/70/18's were rated for 2601lb or 114S Load rating. The most I see myself towing is my boat that weighs about 4,000 fully loaded w/trailer. Tounge weight is mild at best when she is hooked up (tandem trailer).
I would appreciate any feedback..
Thanks,
