well this sucks *** i was going down the road to a party and next thing im know when i put my foot on the gas i hear a bing brrttttt vvvvvvvvv so i like imediately pulled over and i looked under the truck and the flipin motor to my exhaust cutout got knocked out apparently by a rock and then swung around my drive shaft........ so i took the butterfly off because without that motor on it, it would not stay open all the way or closed all the way so i had to unbolt the stupid thing on the side of the road with my exhaust like 500 flipin degrees. so i got it off and then got to where i was supposed to go and managed to get it back together but i guess the gears are way to baddly stipped becasue before the thing was like impposible to hand turn and now it is easy to open and clsoe
i guess this thing came from a place called badlands or something so im hoping that i could get it replaced under warantee but all in all it sucked ***

whoa...that does suck...was this just a freak accident or u think it happens often?
i would say that after going down the highway and this happening, that if you off road alot (what this is supposedly made for) i would expect this to happen often but since i was on the highway i would say that this particual incident was a complete freak of nature

i figured everyone would lol, the bing brrttttt is supposed to sound like something like a rock hitting the motor then the brtttt was an attempt at the sound the the motor hiting and raping itself around the drive shaft, anyway the sound after it happened is incredibly anoying (you could make the same sound by leaving the cutout open by one notch or whatever you want to call it) because it would stay open just enough for the exhaust to go through and make a more of a whining vrrrrr (another sound that everyone is familiar with)

can you get a soundwave of that??? lol... but, yes that does suck... how did the cutout work for you? better pull / time on sprints? I've been researching it but haven't heard anything about the results from an actual installed cutout on a Titan...

well i dont feel that i gained much if anything BUT i still have the stock intake on my truck so if i were to replace that i bet i would gain alot, but the sound that this thing creates to me is WAY better of an investment then new mufflers

Im thinkin of getting one just for sound...I could just imagine someone pulling up thinkin theyre all cool then u opening it up and reving the heck out of the titan...WHOA!! thatd be nice...then Id close it since our trucks run better with more back pressure...
anyone got a sound clip of the reve with straight pipes on a titan or with a cutout?
Did the cutout make the Titan a dog with it open? I'll bet there was lots of noise with little or no performance.lol!
It's not really backpressure you want, that's actually bad for any engine, but exhaust scavenging you need for best engine performance. Alot of people seem to confuse backpressure with exhaust scavenging.

well one thing i definately did not get with this mod was an actual loss in performance becasue it seams to liven it up a little not much but a little but it is definately loud and i only have a single cutout! i cant imagine what it would sound like if you had dual cutouts
