someone stole my exhaust tip!

I just noticed it this morning.

Get this...My tip is WELDED on so someone used a sawsall to cut it! It was a zoomers style tip.

I know it had to be at my house because I work in a good area plus I park a few feet from the parking attendant.

so it had to be last night. My neighborhood is also in good area but I do see some punks once in a while. I figure it's my neighbors or their friends.

I've hadn't anything happen to my cars since 1990 and I've had a lot of nice cars! This just pisses me off cause I was home all night too and even up till 2am!

I usually dont crank up the shock sensor due to false alarms but I may have to now.

anyhow i had to vent.

Jeeezy Creeezy. Sorry to hear that dude. That does suck. I'm amazed at what people will steal. Tailgates, spares, and now exhaust tips? Good grief.

They actually cut the entire tip off? or is it possible the weld just broke? Wow...talk about balsy! Sounds like more of a jealousy thing or someone doesn't like you because that tip is probably useless now. That sucks!

they cut it just right at pipe and tip. it's stupid. I'm sure it's going on some import and I'm keeping an eye out on that! I've been here 2 years and nobody has had problems w/ theft/vandalism. I'll ask my neighbors that have been here for 14 years and see what they say. The police station is like 1/4 mile from me. go figure.

what? they cut off a welded-on exhaust tip??? that is balsy, that's gotta be a first! you're probably right though, the punk is friends of a neighbor or something!

Is your exhaust loud? I'm thinking it might have been some smart-*** attempt to let you know you should tone down your truck? Sorry to hear about it, that really sucks. Hope the tip wasn't too costly.

yeah these punks sure have balls.

it's loud but not obnoxious. I don't think it was to teach me a lesson cause an adult would just say something not risk going to jail for it.

here's a pic of the result. crazy people. I think I'm going to run a night camera at the front of my house w/ video. i'll probably start parking the truck in the driveway once I widen it.

Was that piece of pipe longer, and cut off there? I ask, because that end looks pretty clean for some thief with a sawsall. Or did the tip slip over that pipe and get welded on.

i wasn't there when it was installed but I know that the entire tip was welded cause I saw the result.

I may just paint the exhaust and leave it that way. I don't want them jacking it again. funny thing is that it's quieter inside the truck now.

Wow - sounds like the work of a master criminal. Or possibly a drunk Rabbi doing a circumsion on your new baby Titan. Either way, a new Zoomers tp is $130 and that's not small change. The next tip, weld it, clamp it, and then get yourself a big mean dog and chain him to the bumper before bed every night. Just be sure to untie the dog before you drive away in the morning. Dogs are fast, but Titans are faster.

If you get another tip, etch an identifying mark on it in an inconspicuous location. You might get luck and find the bastard that stole it.

I can't believe someone had the nerve to crawl under your truck while you are home and cut it off. They would have had to be under there for a couple of minutes. Too bad you didn't catch them.

After seeing those pics I wonder about that to. That looks like a hell of good clean cut. Are you sure it did not fall off ? I can't imangine a criminal cutting it that clean or spending the time to even it out.

You did have a custom exhaust if I remember ( loud too ), maybe the weld was not that good ? Just curious when was the last time you saw the tip ?
