Foglights on with parking lights

This one is done using the factory switch on the headlight stalk. Factory switch still work to turn on/off fog lights. This is for those with factory foglights.

I DO NOT take credits for this, ALL credits should go to gshadow325 at www.clubarmada.com he posted the info I just supply the pictures and diagram.

1 Take out your factory stalk, open it up (remove two small screws), there will be two wires, one green one blue. Cut the wire from the board (cut close to board so you have room to work with.

Follow the diagram to hook up the fog lights using a relay.

No advantage or disadvantage, just a matter of preference. Some people like to have the foglights on with parking instead of w headlights.

I can't see why there isn't a much easier way to do something so damn simple. Having to install another relay and rewire the switch? Sounds like work! lol

this will work (fog lights) with the parking lights AND headlights on though? like u can have em on with both (choose which to have em on with)? Also, how do u find the (+) thats coming out of fog lights? What size relay are u using? 30amp? OH and also, how do we remove the stalk? this works with the autolights?

Re: Foglights on with parking lights

It should work with either headlights or parkings. It's pulling it's power feed from either/both of those two sources. That's one awfully small guage wire from the stalk to feed that relay though. Will it carry the current required to trip it without burning up?

Hey bro I'm sorry for the reaction over there. Really appreciated the info. As you see here or there I made sure to let everyone know where credit is due.

You can do the "jumper" mod, take about 5 minutes, will loose fuction of factory switch.

Probably, as far as the foglights are concern but nothing else.

That's the great thing about relays, plus the wire coming the stalk are grounds and they're only being use to throw the relay. These relay required very little current to trip.

Will work light before, fogs come on with parking lights and stay on with headlight unless you turn it off. The positive wire from the fog lights is a white with red stripe. You can get a BOSH 30 amp relay.

Re: Foglights on with parking lights

The white with red stripe is at the foglight itself. The parking light wire is red w/blue stripe in the fuse box under the hood.

Re: Foglights on with parking lights

So you lose the ability to turn the foglights on and off by themselves? They're always on with the parking lights or headlights?

The the factory have it u can only have foglights w headlights on. This mod allow it to come on w parking lights. You can turn it off anytime w the switch. There have been mod done before w a jumper wire but you loose function of the switch.
