Re: gas prices going down

$2.59 at the local Kangaroo Mart!!!! I never thought I would hear myself saying that gas @less than $2.60 was cheap. Mabey that was the big plan to begin with.

I wonder what they [the big oil guys] have up their sleeves. I guess time will tell, but I would be willing to bet that it won't last long.

Re: gas prices going down

I'm sure a saki shortage in Japan or rabid herd of racoons in china will spike gas prices back up there soon enough

I was just thinking the same thing. Ever since the refineries realized we'd bend over and take it dry after Katrina, there will ALWAYS be some disaster right around the corner to drive prices up to 3 bucks. Didn't think I'd ever see the day when people were happy to get gas for $2.75.

I use $100 a week in my E250 work van. Used to be about $55 before Katrina.

Re: gas prices going down

my unit was sent to iraque back in jan 2003 when we were building up for the war. i was paying 1.47 for regular for my 02 dodge ram and as i was leaving town for the airport i was thinking how high gas was at that time. would love to see those prices again. if someone back then had told me gas prices would be over three bucks today, i would had ask them what were they smoking.

Re: gas prices going down

$3.07 for 87 octane at a local mini mart is the best price here. I was amazed! I filled the tank all the way to the top.
