Check out this link guys. I watched it and the whole time I was like....damn, those guys at GMC bought a TITAN and copied everything cuz they couldn't come up with a better truck.
Re: New Silverado Video!!!...it Resembles A Titan!!!!
If you go to the New 07 Silverado site you can see all of their innovative designs and brand new technologies such as:
Fully Boxed Hydroformed frame (...)
Locking Rear Differential (never seen that before...)
Cargo Management System (utilitrack...)
Widest opening rear doors at 170 degrees (Titan's stops at 168...)
Ez Lift tailgate (even ford beat them to that)
I guess so people innovate and some duplicate...

Re: New Silverado Video!!!...it Resembles A Titan!!!!
That was some sly marketing speak in there:
"We have the only extended cab rear door that opens 170 degrees.... (pause)... that has a roll down window". In that pause I was like WTF, oh.
I agree that it looks like a titan inside and out. They are not bad looking vehicles, but I was expecting more that just a copy of the Titan in their "innovations". I think GM is in trouble with not bringing a truck to the market without truely new ideas. I cannot wait for the day I get to explain to a new owner of a 07 chevy/gmc that my "old" 05 titan has all the features and still more power than his/her precious "new" truck.

Re: New Silverado Video!!!...it Resembles A Titan!!!!
My last 3 trucks were GM's. 89 Silverado, 01 Sierra, then an 03 Silverado 4wd ext. cab. and watched the build quality go down with each successive truck. You simply cannot keep the exact same interior and exterior for, what, 8 years now, reduce quality, add no new features, and expect people to buy. Hell, dealers around here wanted as much for a used 06 silverado quad cab as I paid for my new Titan. Ridiculous. I got rid of my 03 because I was starting to have mechanical issues (hub bearing assembly, tranny doing weird things, vibrations, etc ) and all at only 51 K. Good luck to them but it doesn't look good.
Cheers, Lee S.

I was thinking the same thing too. I was like...shut up fag!!!!...then I was like oh...roll down windows are nice, but Ford beat u to it.

Re: New Silverado Video!!!...it Resembles A Titan!!!!
I don't know, maybe I wasn't looking with my good eye... to me it doesn't look anything like the Titan. It's just a block on wheels. I see a few things that resemble our trucks but over all..... it's just crap.
Re: New Silverado Video!!!...it Resembles A Titan!!!!
I don't argue with my Chevy loving friends any more but Nissan has been setting standard and has been the first in a few other areas over the years, even surpassing Toyota.
One thing you don't hear is during commercials from the big three is how their trucks outdoes the Titan in some way, they kick on Toyota Tundra (which is still better than the big 3 IMO) Even the newest Dodge Hemi commercial slamms the Tundra.

Re: New Silverado Video!!!...it Resembles A Titan!!!!
I don't see our Titans in that truck either. I don't think it's a bad looking truck, but I'm not trading in my Titan. There's a reason I didn't buy one of theirs in the first place.

Did anyone else notice the tailgate extender was upside down? The straps for locking it into the tailgate were on top. Great attention to detail for your big video launch.
I know I am just nitpicking but in a moment of temporary insanity I checked out a Gmc Sierra during that employee pricing thing. Thought it was O.K. until my brother snapped me out of it when he said
" That new truck looks exactly like my buddies old truck!" Off to the Titan dealer where I bought my 2005 Smoke SE CrewCab,OR,BT,Utility bed 4X4 with Side steps and bugshield for $500 less than there best price!
