the freakin water that drenches my passenger side carpet
We have a 2000 Frontier that leaked water on the passenger side carpet, and it turned out that the water that condensates from the A/C, didn't drain because the drain hose was clogged. Anyway, the water backed up and got into the ECM and we barely made to the dealer lot. After a diagnosis, they said that we needed a new ECM. Total cost: $1200.00
We got a ride home from a friend, and told the Dealer to wait before ordering a new ECM. We looked on the internet for ECM options and later sent it in to an ECM company and saved about $900.00. Now I'm not saying you have the same problem, I mean, the ECM could be in a totally different place! But the water leaked on the carpet for about a month before it water logged the ECM.
Just a warning.

your roof is bubbling, now this. sucks man. let us know if you get it figured out
ye I know...hopefully theyll fix both...I complained about both but I wont have time to take it in tillnext week so I made an appt for thurs. well see what happens...
What the heck is this?? Feels hard so I dont know if there is rust underneath or whats going on and why its bubbling but some of these bubbles are BIG...the liners not torn or anything but whats going on?? I got 20K miles on the truck...should it be covered by warranty? I set up an appt right now for next week...well see what happens....
This sucks...hopefully they can fix the freakin water that drenches my passenger side carpet as well that they would always say nothing was ever wrong...
There's also a TSB for the water leak on the passenger side carpet. The dealer will install a piece of rubber extension hose on the A/C drain line to fix the problem.
I'm having mine done next week. It's best to catch it now before mold starts to form underneath and causes you to get sick.

I wonder...they wont replace my whole bed then?
I looked through a lot of the threads on this site relating to the bubbling issue and it's not clear whether or not Nissan actually covers it. There's a TSB for discoloration but I haven't seen one for the bubbling issue.
I have an 04 that I bought used a couple months agao and the liner has one pretty good sized bubble. Please let us know what happens when you bring it to the dealer, especially if you find that there is actually a TSB. I'm too swamped at work right now to bring it in any time soon but I'm going to as soon as schedule permits.
Took in to the dealer today for the leaking ac inside and for the bed and for the "rust" on the cab...of course for the "rust" they said it wasnt rust and that something must have fell on the truck...so whatever...but for the AC theyre gonna order new carpet and do the TSB for the AC....hopefully theyll fix that...
for the bed...they took pics and have no idea what theyre gonna do...they said it is warranteed but that nissan has to give the approval and that it might take a while...that sux but what can u do...I told em to get it ASAP cuz it looks like cr@p... they said there was a possibilty theyll replace the whole bed...well see
they said this bubbling issue was just reported started this year and that at that dealer theyve seen bout 3 now that have had it... they said its possibly due to the heat but I dont think it should do either way...

that does not f'in matter. If the vehicle is well within the warranty period and has noticeable manufacturing defects then they HAVE to repair the damage or replace it. I don't know about you but I didn't spend almost 30k for a truck that is going to go to crap due to manufacturers errors. TSB or not, MAKE them fix it or replace it. . PERIOD.
After hearing all of the complaints on this site about the nissan spray in liners, I am happy that I went with line-x instead. They have LIFETIME warranty against any defect.

They "Nissan" have known about the problem a lot longer than a year.
Mine looked a lot like yours over a year ago and my dealership said that they were already aware that there was a problem.
They went through the same process as what you are going through, taking pictures sending them to Nissan, etc.
My whole bed was replaced, but I was told at the dealership that it was up to Nissan if the bed was to be replaced or just repaired. As there was no shop that repaired sprayed in liners close they opted to replace mine instead of repairing it.
The whole process took almost two months, so try to be patient.

ye I hear u...I spent the 30K...lol...so bull if theyre gonna NOT fix it...I understand the dealer has to do what it gots to do as well though...Ill give it to the dealership at least this one time cuz they are at least on the ball with it and contacting Nissan tellin me it WILL get fixed and is covered...we just have to wait for Nissan now...
my truck is an 05 and im pretty sure it was made approx. 05/05 and mine has bubbling on it too. what has been everyones experience with this issue. what has the dealer done to correct the problem. also my CC rear driverside door window bracket is broken i guess because it rattles when i shut it. does anyone know if that would be under warranty?
