Any ideas on this???

Forgive me, when it comes to vehicles I dont know much. My truck is still under warranty, but I want to sound like I have a little knowledge before I take it in so I dont get rail roaded. You can see the mods I have done to my Titan, CAI, exhaust, lift...they have been on for quite awhile, and now seemingly overnight, I have a huge power loss it seems. I hear some kind of noise while the truck is moving, sometimes it sounds like a bit of a worbling (dumb word, but thats what it is) other times I think I hear a tapping. When parked if I rev my engine, my exhaust sounds fine, but doesnt feel as strong as it used to. I would appreciate any kind of advice or info so I can make something happen when I take it in. Thanks.

Re: Any ideas on this???

If it didn't throw the SES light, my first thought would be clogged or dirty air filter or some kind of restriction in the exhaust. Secondly, possible bad tank of gas or clogged gas filter.

Re: Any ideas on this???

You can't check the gas filter, it's in the tank.

Re: Any ideas on this???

I guess the dealer will look at that? Its been like this for 3 or 4 tanks now and I usually buy Chevron, wouldnt a bad gas have not been a problem by now?

Re: Any ideas on this???

Interesting. I agree that it sounds like a either exhuast or intake are clogged. Search for the ECU reset procedure and follow those instructions. See if that helps any.

Along those lines, can it be a clogged catalytic converter?

This statement is incorrect. It is a fuel filter and it is inline on the fuel lines which run to the motor. It will be along the frame. It should be changed every 20-30 thousand miles to keep the fuel clean as possible.

Re: Any ideas on this???

It is in the fuel tank: This info is from the Nissan ESM. The fuel filter, fuel pump, and the fuel level sending unit are one unit.

Like I said before, it's in the tank
