Titan won't start

Hello everyone,

I had a problem this weekend where my 2004 Titan wouldn't start it would only crank. I had it towed to the dealer for which it is under warranty. The service advisor tried starting and he had the same problem so did his tech. after tech connected his diag equipment the truck started. The service advisor seems to think it may be the fuel pump. Has anyone had a problem such as this? Thanks

Re: Titan won't start

Hey Dave - several questions:

Did you try all your keys or just the one?

Were you there watching the tech with the yellow box know as the ConsultII? If so did it take him about 15minutes max?

My guess would be the NATS were corrupted and the keys needed reprogamming.

That's just my guess based upon the tech getting started as you described above.

Re: Titan won't start

The same thing happened to my buddies Titan. After about 15 minutes of both of us crawling around trying to diagnose the problem, I decided to check the gas cap to see if it was seated properly. i took it off then put it back on. The truck fired right up!!

To all

Received my truck back on Monday and the dealer had to replace the fuel pump. Thanks for all of the replies.
