What's up with the plastics?

Whats wrong with the seat fab? i dont want leather in this car so when i get another dog i can let it in the truck w/ no worries

As far as gas mileage: i work from home and i make some decent flow so im not worried about tht (also my supra gets ~18mpg hwy, and the G is about 25, so im no environmentalist)

warranty will def be a big thing when i buy the truck, that's why im going to go to a stealership when i buy.

Sounds like they all do since I have the anti-chip paint as well.

I find that the fabric in the XE stains easily. It feels alright and is somewhat easy to clean but you would think that water wouldn't stain.....

Re: Titan (nissan) paint quality

In the late '80s the feds required all auto makers to switch to water based paints. Pretty much everything on the market uses the new base coat clear coat systems. They claim the paint is much harder than the old enamels and laquers. i've had several different vehicules including a customs '68 camaro with this type of paint and it sucks. 1 was black and just washing it scratched the paint. Every bug that hit the hood became one with the paint forever. This is acrossed the board american and jap. Titan is now better or worse in my opinion.

Re: Titan (nissan) paint quality

I agree, the paint quality is terrible. Chips very easy.

Re: Titan (nissan) paint quality

Stealer was washing my truck once and they power washed a big chip off of the front bumper. Boy was I pissed, again another service trip with the titan. Had to leave the truck overnight at the paint shop, but I haven't had a prob since.

Body panels are as thin as the paint.

Re: Titan (nissan) paint quality

paul sr. maybe the extra paint is nice and thick.... kinda like ur stache....

and it protects the bumper better, and holds on to food particles

Re: Titan (nissan) paint quality

The Titans paint is about the same as other vehicles I have owned. That the problem with a new car they have soft paint. As for the cloth seats I put $22 seat covers on from GIJoes. I just had the truck detailed and WOW the Smoke color really stands out especially in the sun. Even the body shop owner commented how nice the paint was.

Re: Titan (nissan) paint quality

MY truck paint chips about the same as other cars I have had. The thing that gets me is the scratching. The clearcoat or somethin is soft, and not thick at all. Just leaning on my truck wil really scratch it!! BAD!!!
