Silver Titan with Bushwackers; to paint or not to paint

Anyone have a silver Titan with non-color matched fender flares. I am trying to decide if I should get body matched or go with the black-ish color of the non-matched.

Post pics if you've got em please.

Here ya go....

bushwacker flares installed, couple of new pics

Also, NOLA TITAN & supsdupaj have color-matched flares in their pics in their sigs. Do a search for flares and browse. I'm sure lots of other guys have 'em too.

Re: Silver Titan with Bushwackers; to paint or not to paint

it all depends of the looks you trying to achieve with your truck.

If your lifting it and dont have much chrome leave them black for an offroad look...
if your have a lot of bling-bling paint them ...

IMO... dont forget to post pict when ur done

Re: Silver Titan with Bushwackers; to paint or not to paint

I personally like them painted to match. I have not seen a silver one unpainted but Rcantu has a charcol one with unpainted flares that looks really nice..

If you have plans of off roading, I say leave them black, so you don't get the paint chipping. If you want a clean street look, paint them.

I like 'em unpainted, but what do I know, I think shiny chrome 20"+ wheels on 4x4 trucks look gay as hell.

"I like 'em unpainted, but what do I know, I think shiny chrome 20"+ wheels on 4x4 trucks look gay as hell."

Waterfowler, I like your idea of what looks good. Personally, I like the unpainted look, but if someone wants them to match their body color, that's cool too. I have no problem with that.

What I think looks like crap is the big, 20"+ rims, particularly on a 4X4 truck. What the heck is the point in making a mall queen?!?!?!?!? I'd pay top dollar to see them take that ugly thing offroad. Those cheap, fragile rims would collapse even before their tires with no sidewalls were shredded!!! LOL!!!!!!

To be serious for a moment, someone else mentioned that if you offroad, you'll chip the heck out of them if they're painted. This is a valid point even if you don't offroad. The Bushwackers flare out at the bottom and double as a mud flap of sorts. If you paint them, they won't stay silver (or any other color) for long in this area.

Regards,

John
