light sensor for passenger airbag?

hey guys, i have a little question here... i just notice today about the sensor for passenger airbag, does it always light as in it doesn't turn off at all when the engine is on or it lights up for sometime and turns off after a while? coz this morning i was lit up all the time from my house to work.. but when i went home i kinda notice that its not lit up again.. is that normal?

it has a weight sensor ..did you have something sitting on the seat?

i did have my laptop sitting on it, but thats too light for the sensor to sense does it? well anyway i ve found some threads that explains it... thank you for your time to respond though... appreciate it much.

Read your owner's manual. If you have less than 50 pounds on the seat, the light will go on. If nothing is there, it is off.
