It was bound to happen sometime...

Last night I traded in my 2006 Titan for a 2006 Honda S2000...

I just couldn't afford $400 a month in gas anymore... I tried.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my time spent with the Titan, and the Nissan Family. I loved every minute.

The Titan is the best truck on the market. No doubt in my mind.

I'll still be around, checking in, and added my .02

Thanks

Just as gas is going down, then you pull out. Sucks to see you go.

Unfortunately, gas will be going back up. Shareholders for the major gas companies will be looking for the dividens pay out at the next annual report.

if you don't like it, don't look at it. i would have bought one, but i wanted a bit more of a heavy duty tow rating.

What's the tow rating for the Honda S2000?

Did you consider a 350Z?

Re: It was bound to happen sometime...

Absolutely did I consider a 350z.

But I've heard that the 350z engines haven't been very reliable. And you can't see jack out the back window.

Plus in my efforts to save on gas, I didn't want to get into a v6.

Although looks-wise, it was a hard choice.

Where is the 350Z engine info from? Isn't it the same 3.5 Nissan has slapped in every V6 car they've made in the last 5 years?

The 350Z uses the VQ35 V6 which has ranked in the top 10 of Ward's best engines for 11 straight years, something no other engine has done. Something smells here......

Re: It was bound to happen sometime...

I've owned several Honda's over the years and currently own a Acura MDX built by Honda. I'm sure you know the reliability behind them. The S200 is a pretty fast car, I'm sure you'll love it. DONT FORGET TO REMEMBER THE TITANS! Talk to ya later.

Re: It was bound to happen sometime...

I have been a die-hard Z fan for most of my life, and other thaan the rare event I have heard of NO engine problems. Like others have said, it is at the top or near the top of nearly every engine rating scale used to my knowledge. A V6 engine can't get much better than the VQ35. On fuel milage, the Z is rated at 19/25, and the S2000 is rated at 20/26. My gut tells me that the missing torque on the S2000 wil cause more engine rev-ups which will lower the gas milage negating that as one of your purchasing decisions.

Don't take any of that the wrong way, I may be a Z fan, but the S is a great car as well. Handles the twisties a little better than the Z and is mucho fun on crisp fall days with the top down. I do not have anything bad to say about the S2000, its just not my cup of tea.

I hope you enjoyed your stay in the Titan, and I wish you all the best in your new S2000!!!

By the way, you got pics?!?
