installed lights under the hood. I got tired of trying to hold a flashlight and it took me longer to decide exactly what I wanted than it did to install.

That's one thing I have to give to my old ford, it did have a light under the hood. I guess that's because they expect you to be spending alot of time under there though, RIGHT???

My late Chevy had a light too. Sucker was always broken.
Install new bulb, works today. Need it tomorrow, it's not working. And that was the smallest part of the truck that was regularly not working.
Now I have the Titan and I do not miss the Chevy at all.
the holes were I mounted the lights were already there. i highlighted the area between the lights where i ran the wire to the second light. the small box in the corner is where I found a small hole behind the hinge and that is where my power from the switch to the lights comes out and you have a choice as the battery or the fuse box to get power from to the switch. i bought a cheap door jam switch and was going to use it in a stock hole beside the battery but I didn't like how it mounted so I'm going to get a different switch. i just bought a cheap one, they didn't have an adjustable universal switch so he gave me the first one he found, I think was for a ford

Looking forward to the install details.
If you're concerned about the bulbs burning out or getting broken, might I suggest a couple of LED light modules. You can get them from superbrightleds.com for about 8 bucks each. they work really well and the leds are good for about 60,000 hours of use. (Hopefully, you won't be spending that much time under your hood)

wow i had no idea that there was no light under the hood!
Yeah, kinda sad. My 1983 Nissan truck had one, but this one doesn't? That old Nissan had one that was on a cord even so you could move it around under the hood!

On a cord? Light a drop light?
I guess they really expected those to break down.

This is something that I've been wanting to do since I first bought my truck. I just have no idea how to do it. I. Must. Learn.
