WoW!

I just got a 2.5" leveling kit with some 1" rear blocks and called around some local shops cause i wanted to get it installed and everyone was charging $400-$450 and that just seems ridicolous too me.

Yeah that's way to much. Try it yourself, it's not too hard. Where you at by the way?

Re: WoW!

WoW is right! I haven't installed this myself (yet), but from searching through the previously written posts on this subject, I have learned that this is a fairly easy install that your average "do it yourselfer" could do with the basic tools in your garage. If I recall correctly, it should be somewhere between a 3-5 hour install. For a mechanic, I would assume less. I've heard quotes around the $200 mark. Heck, even at 5 hours and $65/hour for labor, you're looking at $325...

$20 for rear blocks from Autozone? Did they come with longer U-bolts? If not, I'm not sure stock U-bolts are long enough?

Re: WoW!

Dude do it yourself. You can do it. If your not great with tools don't let that discourage you. I suck with computers but I'm here anyway. Find a friend to help. 400 bucks has got to be at least a day or two or three wages. Spend a few hours on a Saturday and knock it out. You will feel good when you step back and check it out. I'ts not that hard really. I did my front end by myself in 1.5 hours, and that's inclueding pulling out and putting away all tools. There is enough of us here to walk you through any jams.
