Pros & Cons of having a lift titan?

ok yea another pro and con thread. just wanting to hear some opinions before i decide on having any mods done to my truck.

I was told that once you have your truck lifted it drives like crap and you get tired of it being so damn high getting in and out of your truck.

I'm not much of an off roader ( so why would i lift my truck right?) yea kind of lame i like how the titans look with a slight lift.

with all you guys with lifted trucks what are the pros and cons.

also if you just have your front end leveled out does that make your truck drive different or does it look funny when you have a load in your bed?

Re: Pros & Cons of having a lift titan?

A lifted truck can ride poorly out awesome, it depends on the shock adn spring setup.

With a good setup it can ride like a caddy on the street and be far more capable in the dirt.

When you go to larger tires you will lose some acceleration, braking and milage due to more rotating mass.

Re: Pros & Cons of having a lift titan?

They look silly leveled..a truck suposed to have rake.

Lifted is good as long as you got Big Rubber.

Lifted and under 35" Rubber looks Ghetto. The bigger the lift the bigger the rubber got to be. Keep the wheels 18" & Under or it look ghey. Big Wheels & Skinny Rubber belong on Escalades, not trucks.

Good Luck.

Re: Pros & Cons of having a lift titan?

A good coilover in front from Radflo, SAW or DR and a Radflo or Bilstein shock in back with deavers. Call PRG, they can go over the options and pricing with you

Re: Pros & Cons of having a lift titan?

The biggest con, at least for me, is I wouldn't be able to get it in my garage.

I disagree about the rake look. I put a 2 1/4 inch level kit on my truck and it looks 100 percent better to ME. Never had a load in the back, so I can't tell you what it would look like. But, I likely never will have anything in the back that is heavy. I have a trailor for that stuff.
I think the old Chevys 4X4, 69 thru 75 were some of the best looking and you didn't need a sticker on the side of the truck for you to know they are 4 wheel drive. They had no rake. Just my 2 cents. Leveled 4X4 is the way to go.

Re: Pros & Cons of having a lift titan?

I lifted mine just for looks. I took it in the mud shortly after getting it(stock form) and got it stuck(4x2). I was having fun prior to getting stuck so now I have a quad for that fun. I lost some acceleration with the 35's but I can deal with it. If I needed it back that bad I will just have to save up for a supercharger.

I just googled this same truck and the shop sells procomp and fabtech lifts. So its a 6" not sure of wheel/tire size prolly 18's with 35's(toyo m/t's). Look at the drivers front tire it looks like it says toyo.
