I'm thinking about changing my stock Nissan muffler with a custom muffler. Can anyone suggest a muffler that is not too overbearing? I do not plan on getting dual exhaust, I just want a nice sounding custom muffler. Thanks in advance.
I would recommend a Flowmaster 50/SUV muffler. I have had mine on (muffler swap only) for about 7 months and I love the sound. It is a little loud during start ups and low speed cruising (drone), but quiets down during higher speeds and gives the truck a more aggresive sound over stock.

I put the 70 series on mine. I has just a little growl to it.

I swapped mine with a Manaflow and would highly recommend it if you want a good sound without an overbearing amount of noise. Some of the Flowmasters can be brutal.

magnaflo has a quiet rumble at low speeds and at WOT sounds really aggressive. its a lot quieter then any flowmaster.

I agree with flowmaster for a muffler swap, but make sure you get the NEW delta flow series which is their best muffler yet. You can get 70 series for mellow or 40 series if you like rumble. If you buy it at pepboys you can get the muffler for 69-89 bucks.

the Titan i just bought used, 05 KC SE, had a pleasant surprise. the muffler is awesome. the previous owner deff did a good job, plus a mod to the air intake too.....
it sure does an awesome "vroooom, vroooooom" sound, and it sure adds to the truck experience. not to loud, not to quiet, but just enuff to get noticed.
as far as the name/specs, i have no clue. but go for it!
Here's a link to what the 70 series muffler sounds like, just scroll down to steves post, the last one, and click on where it says flowmaster 70: Some Flowmaster Questions
