air vent covered under power train warranty??

My passenger side air vent and my drivers side air vent are both broken..I was adjusting the vent and it just snapped. Both within a couple of weeks. I asked the dealer if these items were cover under my powertrain warranty and they said no. I asked why and he told me that it just wasn't an item carried by the warranty.. Seems to me that it should be. Anybody have any input???

I would not expect an air vent to fall within the scope of a power train warranty, which covers such items in the power train such as engine, transmission, differentials, transfer case, drive shafts.

Air vents covered under the power train warranty? I'd think you would need a very understanding/generous dealer to cover this. Good luck. I hope they help you out.

Hmmmmm Lets see here. Transmission, engine, gaskets, seals, drive shaft, rear end gears, seals, and gaskets, radiator, steering components, aaand Air conditioning vents. Yup! Right here on page 4673 Air vents!! That was close your in luck! LOL Just playing with ya. Basicly its everything under the truck and nothing on the outside of the skin and inside the cabin.

How in the heck did you break both of them? Some photos would be helpful.

How many miles on the truck? If it's got under 36K miles, you can get it done under the Bumper to Bumper warranty that lasts 3-years/36Kmiles whichever comes first.
