Paint my bushwacker fender flares. Is that a reasonable estimate? I did not have time today to get another one so can only base my reactions on one estimate...
Please tell me these flares are not going to cost 400 bucks to get painted!!!
provided they use a high quality paint /w clearcoat such as ppg or dupont, yes it's very reasonable.. make sure they warranty thier work being that it's plastic make sure they will stand up to thier warranty in writing before paying them..

You can just have a paint shop mix up your color code in spray bottle and you can do it yourself.I have a spray gun and sprayed my front bumper of my maxima and it turned out okay.My buddies used the spray bottle and it's just as good.Just make sure you get some clear coat in the bottle as well.

Hmmmmm. How many spray cans can you get for 450.00. I think that sounds steep although I've never priced it myself. Spray it yourself and then treat yourself to a nice massage or two with a happy ending.

Now we are talking lol... Would i be considered a "ricer" if i spray them myself with a can of krylon?????? Of course i would!!
Im gonna look for cheaper, i know i get what i pay for but jezz, the price it twice the price of the flares!
Considering theres really no prep work for them, yeah, that's out of line. Usually, when you get a wacky price quote for a job like rcantu, it means they really don't want to bother with it as it'll take longer to clean up than actually spray the bloody thing.
Cheers, Lee S.

I paid $650 for the flares, painting, and install. I beleive the flares alone were about $350. I think it's kind of high....

they are just fender flares, and since they stick out, they will take the brunt of scratches and what not. not really worth anything more than $200. just paint them yourself.
if you properly sand, prime, and paint while the humidity is low and with little wind / dust, you will get like-new finish for less than $100.
i would recommend the bulldog plastic primer. it has more flex to it and won't chip off. you can get it from walmart for $7 / can.
Automotive Touchup has the factory color paint for $20 / can. you really only need that for the top coat, and the $10 duplicolor from O'Reilly will work for the lower / base coats. O'Reilly also has some good clear coats that are durable and easy to apply.
