octane use for winter/summer

hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone in here thinks it's ideal for our titans to run lower octane in the colder months and higher octane in the warmer months?

i usually run 93 premium unleaded in the summer to extract any extra hp out of my 06 titan. But from what i've been hearing (im obviously new to this fuel thing for winter/summer), one should use lower octane in the winter months for easier startup?

Any comments?

Regards,
Eric

Re: octane use for winter/summer

This comes from a guy who grew up just a couple of hours east of you: You do not have to worry about cold winters! Also, 93 octane will give you more power in the upper RPM range, but the HP curves are nearly identical in the low to mid RPMs as when you use 87 octane. Just a tip for those new to the fuel thing

Thanks RxZ, it's good to hear from a fellow texan. I guess i'll stick to the regular 87 octane for the time being now. I'll switch to 93 whenever i tow or pull some heavy loads...
