Re: Fog Light Mounting?

I picked up my optilux 2500's this week, I am going to try to install them this afternoon, when I looked it over earlier this week when putting in the silverstars
I was trying to figure out if I should remove the bracket and get the light where I want it in the housing then drill though the sides of the housing.
I know flimflamman did it, maybe he will drop by and sprinkle a few tidbits of info on us? Or someone else that has done the aftermarket route.

Re: Fog Light Mounting?

So I have been plugging at this for an about an hour, my orignal idea of going through the sides with the bolts would be a bad idea, you would need a lot of spacers or washers to fill the void between the light and the housing to tighten the lights up, best way seems to mount the bracket straight back against the end of the housing.
The problem being if you do that, there seems to be no way to get the light back on adjusted and tightened up.
I am has some thoughts of cutting the very back of the housing off so I could get to the back side of the lights, but then what would be the best way to mount them then?
Right now I am just going to hold tight and see what other people say because I do not want to make a mistake I can not undo.
