Helper springs

Can someone tell me where to get the helper springs people are using on their trucks.I dont want to guess I would like to know the exact springs someone has used on their truck and where I can get them.I searched for a while but I really dont have time right now.Thanks in advance.

Hey SKEET, try this:

On the blue command line above, click on the third word from the right: "Search". Type in "helper springs". Here's what I came up with in less than 2 minutes:

Hellwig helper springs?

purpose of helper springs

Best helper springs for ride and hauling?

Follow up reportafter having Hellwig HD traction springs after the first week.

Helper springs, leaf spring clamps, or just getting some grease into the slip yoke?

There is just an insane amount of information on this site. This is the best way to find it. Good luck!

Check out the links in the second post for the part numbers or exact size. I actually got mine at Advance Auto Parts, right on the shelf.

I have the Hellwig helper springs and they are nice. No more sag in the truck what so ever. Not much change in the ride without a load.

Went to Auto Zone today and they didnt have anything and the guy at carquest said he didnt think the universal springs would work very well on my truck.Can you get the springs I nee from the dealership.

Ditto on Wiscdave's comments. I like my Hellwigs and with the rear anti-sway bar, the noticeable ride improvement is outstanding.

I seen that, I was looking for specifics and dont always have time to look through all the threads like some,sometimes I do and sometimes I dont.If its that big a deal just dont reply,thats what I do.

I am especially lame about not using the search enough SKEET, but you do seem to expect everybody to do the searchin for you. Is everybody else wrong or maybe just maybe it could be you.

Your right it wasnt specific enough.By someone I mean anyone.Anybody that has put helper springs on their truck that worked I would like to know where I can get them.I tried two parts stores today and neither had anything in stock.If I came across wrong I apoligize.

I didnt ask anybody to do a search.If someone has already bought something why would they need to do a search.If someone asked the question who has a CAI that they like what is the name of it and where can I get it I wouldnt have a problem telling someone what I had and where they could get it and I wouldnt need to do a search to give them a answer which is exactly what I called myself doing.I must be missing something but I dont see the problem in what I asked.

I think the point is that if you just search the forum, you will see that many issues have been discussed numerous times. For instance, there are tons of threads already that have been beaten to death regarding cold air intakes, and there is no sense in reopening if someone can search and get more than enough information. And I know there are tons of threads about your question you posted...The reason that people make such a big deal about it is because they don't want to see posts that have been discussed many times before. It clogs up and hides other new posts that may have not been discussed before. It's no big deal, people are just trying to tell you about it so you know next time. You don't need to tell us that you don't have time to search like some people do on the board. It's just board ettiquitte to search before posting questions.

I know I'll be looking for those exact helper springs in a few weeks, and I know I'll find everything I need to find in the archived posts, so I'll do a search when I need it.
