All parts are outsourced for Nissan. It's only covered, according to the warranty booklet, for 3/36.

The smell (on the titans w/ no leaks) is from the hot coolant cycling in and out of the overflow reservoir.

that makes sense by why is the coolant smell so noticable when the engine is coolant and the vehicle is on defrost? I thought I read earlier about a TSB on the radiator cap but I don't see it now on nissanhelp.

I just had my cap replaced at the dealership..hmmmmm...Actually had a little blow by on the motor, looks like a pattern
