Question AB option really out there? Can't find one!

I've sold my old truck and am ready to buy TODAY if I can find the truck!

I've been hunting all night on Nissan USA and individual dealers sites checking inventory. I live in BFE so I can't just hit dealers! I want to go sit in it and check it out BEFORE I commit so I won't just order one.

I'm finding lots of 2007's. Even 2007 Crew 4x4 LE's but NOT ONE truck with the Side air bag option.

In the brochure it says that you have to get just about every other option - Nav, sunroof, BT, OR.....on and on to get AB.... I don't care! The AIRBAGS AND TRACTION CONTROL are MUST HAVE for me.

I've got a week or two to find one but SOONER would be better!

Anybody sees one in Socal or Central Cali....hell NorCal for that matter...

LET ME KNOW!!!!

Best way to locate what you want is to have a local dealer do a search for you. While Universal City Nissan is the largest dealer in the LA area, you might call Alex Chen at Performance Nissan in Duarte. He's an upright guy in a sea of alligators.

According to the '07 brochure, you can get AB option on the XE with the "preferred" option package. The TRAC package (ABLS limited slip rear and tow hooks) required on 2wd models and the Off-road option required on 4x4 models. However, brake assist and VDC are not available.

I could have them do the search...but then there's extra cost to trade for the truck. Also...and maybe I'm just weird but I really like to look over the truck before I commit...if they trade for it I'm committed BEFORE I get to look at it. I don't know any dealers that will search and then TELL you where it is....

I remember you earlier comment about Alex, I've been on Performance's web site to check inventory….no 2007's at all showing.

I've never heard of a dealer charging extra for a dealer trade. My first Titan was found in Rancho Santa Margarita. Superior Nissan in Puente Hills sent a salesman down there at 3PM on a Saturday, picked it up...then delivered it to my house, where all the paperwork was completed. It didn't cost me anything extra...and I didn't pay a doc fee, either.

If the truck found for you by the dealer doesn't measure up...you have no obligation to buy it....as long as you don't sign anything.

Universal City Nissan has several '07's. Their website is easy to use. No LE's,tho.

Yes, have the dealer find it for you. My salesman went and got mine from Palm Springs. He tried to charge me a $200 transport fee. I said no, and that another dealership would be dealer trading with them to get the truck for me. They were more than willing to drop the bogus fees after that.

I have the AB package and wanted a sunroof too, so after being quoted the same bogus fees, I used Nissan's Inventory Search. I entered zip codes of neighboring cities up to 500 miles away and found my truck in Chicago (300 miles). All negotiations were over email and I was given the chance to look it over and test drive before a final commitment.

I've called the "local" dealer for me...85 miles away and they are looking.

I've tried the Nissan's Inventory Search but I think they must be "hidding" the 2007's. Some of the dealers sites show '07's that don't show on Nissan's site. I'm sure they are still trying to move the 2006 trucks.

I plan on continuing to look, just though with all the guys on here they wouldn't mind taking a look if they are going by or in for service. There has got to be 40 or 50 dealers in the LA area...even with inventory search it's a long process.

Thanks in advance for keeping your eyes open guys!

Target: 2007 CC LE 4x4 with AB.
