Interior air quality/micro filter

Hey Y'all

My '06 Titan 4x4 LE with Off-Road package seems to lack good outside air filtration. If I'm behind a stinker with the windows rolled up and no direct air other than what's coming through AC, I have to roll down the windows to get the stinky exhaust smell out. Has anyone else had this problem? Really love the truck, best truck I've ever had but this air thing is hard to believe. Nissan should also offer a roof rack option. Just installed a Thule which required drilling/fastening rails into the roof.

What is the make and model of your Titan? Only LE/SE CC come with it from the factory. All KC and XE you must get the filter and put it in.

Re: Interior air quality/micro filter

As I understand it the filter is for particulates or dust and pollen. I don't believe that the auto industry has develped a filter that would remove unpleasent smells. When ever you get behind someone smelly go to recirculate so you don't bring the smells into the cab.

Re: Interior air quality/micro filter

What you are looking for is a charcoal activated filter to help eliminate odors. Bosch does produce carbon filters for various automobiles, but I am not sure if one is available for the Titan.

The filters are for dust only. They are not the ones with the charcoal in them...although them do squatt also for odors.
