Hi everyone. I have been trolling around your forum for about a month now and I just wanted to say thanks for all the great information. I will be getting a 2007 Crew Cab 4x4 soon to replace my 04 LE King Cab 4x4. This site has helped greatly in making a list of how I want to modify my new Titan.
Now I would like to get everyones opinion on something. My dealer had originally found me an 07 Crew Cab 4x4 LE loaded in Red Alert. They were supposed to get it on a dealer trade, but the other dealer sold it. Now if I wanted a loaded Red Alert LE I have to order it and I won't have it till Jan/Feb. The manager at my dealership suggested getting an SE with Big Tow and they would get everything I want done for me aftermarket (Nav, leather, sunroof). They will do this at cost and cover everything under warranty.
So what do you guys think? Wait for loaded LE or get SE and trick it out?

If your spending that much money on a truck, my advice to you would be to make sure you get exactly what you want or walk away. If your looking at an '07, and are shopping for an LE, I'd shop around and wait till you find your LE that your looking for. Dealership may tell you they will install stuff at cost but until you know exactly what the price is, I'd make sure everything is covered up front first before you sign away. Good luck with your decision!
I would agree. Unless it's just cosmetic additions like dash inserts or cupholders or something, I wouldn't let a dealer "rig up" a lower trim level to look like the LE you want. Some can do nice work, but it won't be the same, guaranteed! Be patient and get the truck the way you want it from the factory. I wouldn't trust a dealer to install those complicated electronics when so many have trouble just changing the oil.
I'll say the same. It wouldn't be worth it to buy the SE and risk those add-ons by the dealer. The sunroof alone would make me worry. Plus, your resale won't be as high as a true LE. Hold tight for ~3 months and you will be glad you did.

Thanks for the input. I hadn't considered resale so I'm glad you brought that up. Unfortunately my lease on my current Titan will be up in December so if I order a new one I will be without a truck for a while. I guess I could just drive my T-Type until the truck arrives (Damn race gas cost $6.00 a gallon though ).
As far as aftermarket installation I wasn't too worried about that because the dealer doesn't actually do it themselves but uses a local business that has a good reputation. The manager had his Titan done there and is supposed to bring it to the dealership for me to check out tomorrow. I'll check out his truck tomorrow and take it from there.
Thanks again and I'll post some pics when get my new ride
