Nissan Extended Warranty

I purchased an extended warranty through Fred and New-Nissans.com in the past and it doesn't seem like his email works anymore, and I also noticed that new-nissans.com is no longer a supporting vendor... nor does their website work.... Other than the stealer, is there anyone else that you guys have purchased your Nissan Security Plus warranties from or are there any new vendors on here that I just haven't noticed yet?

I'm also considering manufacturer's extended warranty. What is a good price from which dealer (So Cal) and does it cover just like the standard 3-yrs warranty?

Extended Warranties have huge markups....some as high as 70%.

So if you consider one.....diicker on the price...start at around 50% off what ever the dealer quotes you....and go from there.

The extended warranty starts from the day you get your new truck...it does NOT start after the 3/36,000 mile warranty ends.

So a 5 year, 50,000 mile extended warranty only covers the last 2 years or 14,000 miles...whichever comes first.

It may also extend the powertrain warranty...depending on which warranty you choose.

Stay away from third party warranties...some of these companies have a bad reputation with new car dealers (they are slow or no pay), so many dealers will not accept them, forcing you to pay for repairs out of pocket.

What I'm saying is that I purchased the warranty previously for my truck from fred and NEW-NISSANS.com and wanted to pass on the savings to a friend of my who just bought a Altima. Are there any others like the NEW-NISSANS folks that can offer a better price than local dealerS?

They do not cover like the standard warranty, but if you've had problems with you truck, or want the piece of mind I think it’s worth it. Depending on which Security Plus warranty you buy, there can be a deductible, and Nissan has to assess more than usual on whether or not they will cover a part. Also the list of covered parts goes down a little; where as your standard 3/36 covers pretty much everything. You can find more info at: http://www.nissanusa.com/owning/service_plans/

Well, I took the plunge! I paid 1700.00 for a 5yr/100,000 warranty from this place http://www.nissanextendedwarranty.co...Record%20Added. I hate paying for this crap but, I have 35,840 mi on the beast as of today so I had to move fast. "Toby" The lady that helped me was really nice. If any one does use this place tell her Mike Tillery sent you.
I suck at negotiating so a better deal could have probably been made., but it is still substantially better(around 300.00-500.00 better) than any offer here in San Diego. Plus with 10% down you can pay the rest with (zero interest) over up-to 17 months.

-there are a few different terms to choose from.

-starts from 0

-You can get your warranty from any Nissan dealer, but they will all have different prices. If you plan on getting it from a dealer you should shop ALL your local Nissan dealers for the best price.

-Only accepted at Nissan dealers

-No it doesnt not cover bumper to bumper, the extended service plans are a little more limited. As I listed above, check that website, it will tell you all you need to know.

Can you call nissan to get a price on the extended warranty? I have called my local dealer twice and left messages with no return call.

Everytime i've ever talked about it, I've been directed to the Finance department. Try there. Although I think this www.nissanextendedwarranty.com is pretty good.
