First, do you like it?
Second, what size?
Third, I listen to all types of music. I have the really slim Kenwood(which I will be selling soon and taking offers now) and it sounds pretty good with rock songs but really gets overpowered with rap songs. Would the Bazooka Tube do the same thing? I am hoping the 10 inch tube fits.
It is AWESOME! I have the 8 inch powered Bazooka from Wal-mart. It hits great, and fits perfectly under the seat...I'm not sure that 10 inch one would fit and let the seat fold all the way. They are on sale at Wal-mart for $85.
It is simple to install, and you don't have to touch the head unit. Just run a power-wire, tap into the two rear speakers, and hook up a ground...It has an auto-on so you don't need a remote wire...It really complements the stock speakers very well. The system sounds GREAT with it and improves the the speakers as well.
I love it, and couldn't be happier...People who ride in my truck can't believe it's just a bazooka tube. And remember, if you don't like it, just return it - walmart will return ANYTHING. lol
BRB, I'll go take some pix of the install and show you where i have everything. give me 5 min
I had an 8" tube in my cc it just fit under the rear seat, A 10" tube will not fit with the seat down. It sounded good at low to mid. volume but anything more would get distorted.
I crank the volume up pretty high and it does not distort..You just have to adjust the gain on the bazooka.
The reason it is a little scratched up is because I used this bazooka in my old Frontier, and I just let it sit in the back and I didn't secure it down and always threw stuff on top of it. I decided to do it the right way with my Titan.
Thanks Guys, great info on something I've been wanting to add (Subs). Don't want to get rid of the underseat storage unit, but might. At least now I can try these, with confidence they can wok fine. Bazookas used to be talked about like crazy 10-15 years ago. Didn't know Wal-Mart was selling them.
Anyone ever set it in the middle of the back floor of a CC? Any other suggestions concerning Bazookas/sizes available/placement/Tech Specs?
I'm headed to Googleland, looks too interesting to not pursue now!
UPDATE: Outstanding website for Bazooka. The WalMart unit is a special 50Watt/8" unit that should be fine for most users. I rediscovered they make a "Blue NOS Bottle" looking unit that sells for about 200-225 online. 200Watt, Aluminum baracket included to mount it at an angle like real NOS. Neat features like the knob setting the level. I'll be addin that to my most wanted MODS list. $85 for the WalMart unit sure is tempting though. I'll be there soon.
This site cost me so much money.

I too have the 8" tube from Wal-Mart. Like AG said it compliments the factory stereo nicely, and for $100 (it wasn't on sale when I bought it ) you can't really knock it

I got a 8" bazooka tube, with it's own amp, from circuit city.
It sounds great. But i've had lots of problems with the plug in it. Keeps working itself loose. Pretty annoying. And this is my 2nd one.
Also not a fan of how it turns itself on from recognizing the speaker line level... sucks at low volume when it turns itself on/off constantly.
I like the 8" for rock.
For rap or whatever the 10" works alot better.
Back in the day i had an 8 & 10... sounded good.
But IMO bazooka tubes sound kinda fluttery. Nothing beats the sound of a kickdrum than a sealed box as far as i can tell.
But for the price and convenience (1 plug and it's out of the way), can't beat it.
Don't forget the price of the installation kit, and the installation if you're not handy.

All you have to do is run a power wire, ground wire, and tap into the rear speakers...Remove the door sills and then cut the speaker wires for the rear (they are the ones coiled up and wrapped together), Reconnect the wires and also add another line coming out of it. Run that line to the back (you have to do this for each side). Then connect the power wire to the power wire on the wiring harness, connect the ground to ground wire on harness, and connect the left pos&neg and right pos&neg to the corresponding wires on the harness...That's all you have to do and it will work! Hardest part is getting the power wire through the firewall, but that is easy with a metal clothes hanger.
