well, today in school, i was talking to my friend about automotive stuff... and he got talking about his fathers f-350 and how powerfull it is.... then i started talkin about the titan and how much i want one and how it can smoke hemi's (new ones...WANNA BE HEMI'S "COUGH", chevy's and ford f-150's all day.... and when i bought up the f-150, which actualy was the real begining of it... titan vs f-150. He sayd that the frame/total structure of the 150 was better built than the titan and that it could pull more. When i mentioned that the tow option for the titan is rated up to about 9,600 pounds, he purpously sayd that ford origionaly underated the pulling strength of the f-150 because they knew the titan was coming out, and it is now up to 12,000 pounds? is this true? i didnt think but.... he did agree though that the titan had a better stock engine, but not frame/body/rest exept engine... now, we finaly stoped talkin about it because the block was ending, but i sayd ill show him solid proof that the titan can out haul, out drag and out... well out anything about the f-150.
well, in lease sense, it wasnt really an argument, as much as a long talk on a long block study hall with nothing else to do. we were also talkin about computers that were both intrest in.

ha! that is interesting... i beleive i have read it already though... a lot of them just dont compare themselfs to the titan, its like the titan doesnt exist... or they wish it didnt....huh....????
This will probably change someday. It is probably not from fear of comparison, these guys can all put their own spin on things and make themselves sound great one way or another. It is more of a lack of respect that Nissan is building a product that they should even be concerned with.Until 3 years ago,Nissan couldn't run with these "Big Dogs" now we're chasing them off our porch.Just remember it's no big secret whose truck Nissan went after when designing the Titan.Ford absolutely earned their "best selling truck" but believe me their market share is sinking badly.
still have to say.... how much weight can a titan handle in the back? uhh, i was reading a post about another titan diff gone... nissan needs to do somethin about these rears/axles/diff's. i dont wanna get one and have it go when im showin off to friends after all the braggin i do about it... that would just not look good at all...lol!

Yeah, Ford didn't reveal their figures until Nissan released their figures on the '04 Titan. I'm not sure about the '07 F-150's, but the '06's could tow up to 9900lbs in a single cab long-bed configuraton with the 5.4L engine. The supercab F-150's can only tow up to 9500lbs. Since Nissan doesn't make a single cab Titan, it's not really fair to compare to it to a Ford single cab. Single cabs can tow slightly more than the extended/king cabs models with the same engine. Anyway, what's 400lbs? Ford/Dodge/GM are already pushing the limits with towing numbers on their 1/2 tons to look good on paper. Personally, I wouldn't want to be towing anywhere near the max limit with any 1/2 truck.
Yeah, the new F-150 frame is over built for a 1/2 ton truck, but it's too darn heavy. You can design things to be strong and light. The 300hp/365tq 5.4L Triton V8 struggles to move the truck down the road.lol! The important things like the engine, transmission and resale value are better on the Titan. However, frame strength though heavy and the interior quality on uplevel models are better on the Ford. Not so important things IMO.
