Question Newbie

I'd like to get a few opinions on a chrome fuel cover. How do you think it would look? I have chrome tow mirrors, door handles, grill. I added a chrome step bumper and it looks great. Saves my butt too ( I mean the truck!) Color of truck is gray metalic.
Thanks and remember "Real women drive trucks!"

Re: Newbie

Welcome to TT. Just my opinion but I'm not a big fan of the chrome fuel door covers. Around where I live every 17 year old with a 1987 Chevy cavalier has a chrome fuel door cap and alteeza taillights.....Looks cheap to me. Like I said though, just my opinion.

Re: Newbie

Count me in with kenny. I've seen a Ram with the round fuel door and it actually looks ok to me...kinda industrial looking. But when it's a big square cover chromed...it just looks stuck on there. Not a good look IMHO.

Welcome aboard the Forum! I'm sure you'll find a lot of good stuff and people...

I do have a chrome fuel door-bought it so that I can highlight my "support our troops" magnet. Figured that the magnet is less likely to scratch stainless steel than my paint (which seems easier to do.)

If you're thinking of some chrome, consider the door panel rockers...

Some people enjoy the chrome, others don't. Do what makes you excited about your Titan. IMHO

Re: Newbie

I personally am not a big fan of the chrome fuel door cover. It just doesn't seem to flow with the truck, looks out of place.

Re: Newbie

I have to agree with the general consensus here. I know, I know, I have tons of bling on my truck. I just don't care for the fuel door on the side either. It isn't balanced or centered or anything. It looks out of place to me.

Re: Newbie

Appreciate the feedback and I enjoy this forum. No chome fuel cover for me. Will consider the rocker panels.

Re: Newbie

Just as long as you are happy the who really cares what others think. But I would have to agree that it does look out of place on the side of the Titan. The other chrome pieces you can purchase look ok though. Door pillars and rocker panels. You can chrome parts of your tailgate and rear step bumper. Anyway just my .02. Welcome to the board and enjoy the Titan.
