Leveling kit and tire size on stock rims??

Howdy! New to the forum, but been reading for a long time. Just now getting around to some mods on the Titan and have a few questions. I have already searched on the forum for the info I need, but I have seen so many different options that I'm a bit confused.

Aight, here goes. I have 2004 Titan SE with the Off Road package and I'm wanting to install the front end leveling kit. With the PRG leveling kit, what is the largest tire I can fit on those 17" rims? From what I have read and understand this is a 7 1\2" rim, correct?? And if it isn't too much trouble, what kind of tires is everyone using? I'm looking for something pretty aggressive, but looking for decent tire wear as well. I know BF makes a decent tire, but I'm just not crazy about the arm and leg price tag that comes along with them.

Oh, one more thing. If you have pics of your titan with the leveling kit and stock 17" rims\tires...I wouldn't mind seeing them.

Re: Leveling kit and tire size on stock rims??

Aloha. I've got the PRG 2 inch leveling kit and stock 17 X 7.5 inch rims. The tires are 285/70 17. I don't have a good pictures of the front end before I added the leveling kit but, it makes a big difference in the way the truck looks.

According to PRG, you can fit 35s with the leveling kit...He suggests working with your tire dealer to get them to fit a few different tires on there to make sure you won't have any rubbing problems...You will need to remove the splash guards if you have them and go with 35s.

Re: Leveling kit and tire size on stock rims??

Here it is stock in '04 with ~33" OEM BFG Rugged Trails, and the second pic with the front "leveled" with just DRE coilovers set for about 2", last spring, (with aftermarket, stock size, BFG AT KO LT285/70/17).

Lots of people run the BFG AT KO LT315/70/17 34.5"x12"x17" tires with level kits on the stock offroad pkg. rims, but power suffers because of the change in gearing. New gears are suppose to be out in a few months, there's a sticky in the General forum.
