Steering wheel audio controls; Dealer install problems

Hey guys/girls,
I want to get the audio/cruise control switches for my truck. But honestly the thought of messing with an airbag scares me. I asked the dealer where I bought my truck from if they would install it, the service dept didn't know if it was possible. We all know it is possible to install! I don't want some numb nut audio installer at a shady stereo shop to install it. Has anyone had a similar experience with this? What should I do?

Lots of gadgets and wires to install. Has to all wire into your ECU, then back to an cruise controller, then back to your ECU, and so on... Alot of wires. Would end up costing you atleast $500 just in harnesses I would guess

this should give you an idea...

Install

What to do ? Tuff question, how bad do you want it ? There are aftermarket systems with remotes. I know your still messing with something but that beats messing with the air bag and crap.
